• Community fights to save ancient moorland bridge* – October 2014 – It has survived centuries of deluge and withstood the feet of thousands – but an ancient bridge over a moorland stream in Cornwall seems set to be destroyed by what its defenders describe as council “vandalism”…. • Restored to glory – the church organ built as an official war memorial* – October 2013 – Almost every town and village in the land erected obelisks, plaques and crosses to those who left their homes between 1914 and 1918 to fight for “king and country”.  But the people Warleggan on Bodmin Moor went one better. • George completes solo cycle to John o’ Groats* – October 2013 – A Cardinham teenager has raised £700 for Cancer Research UK after completing a solo bike ride from Land’s End to John o’ Groats. • Farm fun: Club’s big day entertains and raises charity cash* – September 2013 – More than 1,000 people went along to this year’s Warleggan Young Farmers’ Fun Day, which raised over £3,000 for charity.  There were rural pursuits and fun activities for all the family – with a water slide proving particularly popular….  Cornish Guardian, 18/09/2013

• Villagers celebrate hall refurbishment*  – March 2013 – Residents have celebrated a £65,500 revamp of Warleggan Jubilee Hall at Mount.  Built in 1935, the hall was showing its age, but has now undergone a three-month refurbishment programme….  Cornish Guardian, 06/03/2013

• Cornwall wind turbine approved after parish decision change* – February 2013  – Warleggan Parish Council had voted against the proposals for South Bofindle Farm in December.  It changed its decision after being contacted by Cornwall Council planners…  BBC News, Cornwall, 05/02/2013

• 1,000 young farmers pack cathedral for carol service* –  December 2012  –  All 1,000 tickets to the carol service for Cornwall Young Farmers’ Club (YFC) were snapped up in less than 36 hours. • Revisiting the mystery of moor’s man of God* – October 2009  – Warleggan’s famously eccentric vicar (Rev Densham) is the subject of a new feature film, “The Congregation of Ghosts”, made on Bodmin Moor. Simon Parker attended its first public screening…  So what of that lasting image of cardboard parishioners lined up along the pews? Those in Warleggan who remember Densham say it is nothing but a fiction dreamt up by Daphne du Maurier…  This is Cornwall 07/10/2009
