When weather forecasts prompted the organisers to shift the Church Fete and the Musical Evening from the church field to the Jubilee Hall, there were suggestions that ‘Music in the Meadow’ should be renamed ‘Hullabaloo in the Hall’.
Thankfully it was was not a hullabaloo; it was a very enjoyable ‘noise’.
The hall was filled to capacity, and the audience was treated to a brilliant vibrant musical mix provided by Bodmin Town Band, the Larks (three singers) and Samantha Rowe (flautist).
This event, preceded by the annual church fete, was held on Sunday 4 September 2016, and served to launch an appeal to raise funds for repairs to the roof and tower of St Bartholomew’s Church in Warleggan – see ‘Church Repair Fund‘.
