Announcements of upcoming planned roadworks will be posted here as received.

Information from Highways England regarding A38 Glynn Valley overnight closures 19-23 August 2019:

Highways England will shortly be carrying out remedial roadworks. The A38 will be closed overnight between Turfdown Cross and Twelvewoods roundabout (at the junction with the A390 at Dobwalls).

The road surface in this area has deteriorated with age and needs to be repaired to ensure the safety of motorists. We will retexture the road surface, replace road markings and carry out any other minor maintenance time allows. To minimise disruption, we’ll work overnight when there are fewer vehicles on the road. During the day we will keep the carriageway open as usual. Please accept our apologies in advance for any disruption this may cause.

Overnight closures
Start date: 10pm evening of 19 August 2019
End date: 6am morning of 23 August 2019
Hours of work: 10pm to 6am, overnight Monday evening to Saturday morning inclusive

Access for residents will be maintained at all times, as follows:

Trago Mills employees and properties between Lower Lodge and Doublebois – please access the A38 to the east via the B3360 and the A390.

Dobwalls (Twelvewoods roundabout) and Doublebois – please access via Doublebois crossroads.

Halfway House pub – access will be maintained via North Lane and will be signed from the A390. Drift Lane will be signed to dissaude motorists from cutting through to the A38.

Through traffic will be diverted as follows:

All light vehicles travelling both eastbound and westbound will be diverted via Lostwithiel (see green route on map). HGV’s travelling westbound will also be diverted via this route. HGV’s over 20 tonnes travelling eastbound will be diverted via the A30 to Launceston and then onto the A390 to rejoin the A38 at Carkeel roudabout (see blue route on map).
