Announcements of upcoming planned roadworks will be posted here as received.
Currently, no roadworks alerts – but below one comment received 25 May 2018, asking drivers to be vigilant for horses on Warleggan Downs:
From: Liz Lane
Comment: Four new ponies are going to be grazing on Warleggan Downs for the summer, and they’ve never been near roads before, so please watch out for them! They will be wearing hi-vis…Our grazing at Castle Dewey is much too rich for them, they are at risk of laminitis, so we are using our rights as graziers for the first time.
They are all Shetlands, two black geldings, and a chestnut mare and a grey mare. One of them is Cyril, the foal that was found at Tor House at a few hours old and handraised by the village 15 years ago.
We will be keeping a close eye on them, but we would appreciate everybody being aware that they are there. Call us on 821551 if you think they are in trouble!
With many thanks, the Lane family
