The Jubilee Hall in Warleggan now has a fantastic new professional-standard kitchen, a new storeroom, and disabled toilet

It is available for hire, for individuals and groups from within the parish and outside;  the rates are very competitive  – see hall hire information and hall hire rates.

The building:

  • Year of build: 1935
  • Size of main hall: 14m x 6m
  • Maximum capacity: 100 persons
  • Flooring: Wooden floor
  • Stage: easy-to-erect raised stage (maximum area 8 m2 – there are eight inter-locking 1m2 squares of stage available, plus one set of steps)
  • Projection screen (pull-down screen available for use at end of hall; users will need to bring their own projector) see photo below
  • Lighting:  fluorescent tube lighting;  plus adjustable small spotlights to face side and/or end wall
  • Additional rooms:
    • store room (can serve as dressing room for performers)
    • newly fitted kitchen (see details below)
    • toilet facilities (1 male, 1 female, 1 disabled)
  • Heating: Radiators (electric) – coin operated

  • Caters for 80 (approx)
  • Facilities available:
    • continuous hot-water heater (for instantly available boiling water)
    • 6-burner electric range
    • large oven
    • salamander grill
    • griddle
    • deep-fat fryer
    • commercial microwave
    • warming cupboard
    • stainless steel surfaces
    • 4-minute cycle dishwasher
    • fridge
    • A freezer may also be made available by negotiation.
    • Kitchen users must bring their own cookware, pots, knives etc.

  • 6 cloth-top square card tables (not strong, and certainly unsuitable for heavy use)
  • 6 new, stronger square tables
  • 10 new lightweight 183 x 70 cm tables suitable for indoors or outdoors
  • 15 five-foot-long wooden tables for indoor use only (9 lightweight tables, and 6 stronger but heavy wooden tables)
  • 50 upholstered chairs (indoor use only)
  • 24 plastic chairs

  • NOTE: anyone hiring the hall and wishing to sell alcohol there will need to submit a Temporary Entertainment Notice*, and must seek permission from the hall committee before making any such application to Cornwall Council, as only a limited number of TENs can be issued for these premises each year.
