Our parish lunch in November had a special pre-Christmas flavour to it – the decorations were up, the tree was in place, there were Christmas crackers on the tables, and a special beef dinner (or veggie option) was laid on, followed by a choice of desserts, and a leisurely tea or coffee to follow…
