  1. Nice one Rosemary, maybe some of those who drive far too fast and selfishly will listen. The roads belong to everyone not just them (as some of them think!!)

  2. Rosemary Penn

Just to let you know that there was a live interview with Laurence Read at BBC Radio Cornwall today about horses on the roads in Mount. If you would like to hear it you can “listen again” on BBC Radio Cornwall’s website.

ADDED BY EDITOR: to hear Rosemary’s contribution, go to start of tenth minute – click here*

  3. Just to let you all know that at 18.26pm there is a flock of sheep running loose near the campsite Gwel-an-nans . Not sure where they came from but were last seen at the Cardinham turn off.

  4. Janette Johnson

There are two black lab type dogs running loose on Warleggan Downs, just before Torr House. No , I am not turning into the Warleggan Dog Lady

  5. Janette Johnson

Warleggan: WATCH OUT, there’s a nasty thief about! Some horrible person has stolen John’s posh tool kit from our garden shed. Complete tool set, in a silver coloured, metal case.
We are very upset, not only at the thought that someone would steal from us but also that the ethos of our parish has been a little besmirched. Let’s hope it was just a one-off, opportunistic, act of nastiness.

  6. Councillors Community Funds
There is money available in my Community Fund. If your organisation wants to run a project or event before April you can apply now for up to £300 to do so. application forms available from tperry@cornwall.gov.uk

  7. Water pressure problems in Mount – Ian W informs us that he phoned Southwest Water today (Friday 11 Oct) about the water pressure problems many of us are facing in Mount these last few days. They have informed him that this isn’t due to any maintenance work being carried out. They will send someone out on Tuesday (15 Oct) to investigate the problem, and hopefully it will be sorted then, or shortly after.

If anyone would like to call them, so that they can understand that it really does affect many villagers, please call 0844 3462020.
